ABOUT BU MENTORING CIC

BU Mentoring CIC is a community interest company based in Brompton, Medway, Kent. Since 2013, we have supported young people, adults, and vulnerable individuals in rebuilding their confidence, gaining practical skills, and moving into employment, apprenticeships, or self-employment. We primarily work with young people aged 16 to 26, including those who are NEET, from disadvantaged backgrounds, or facing social isolation. We also support adults experiencing long term unemployment and vulnerability. We believe that within every individual lies untapped potential. Many young people do not lack ability. They lack structured guidance, belief and opportunity.

Our mentoring model focuses first on confidence and identity development. We then build employability skills, enterprise readiness and academic foundations through tailored one to one mentoring, accredited tuition, work experience and practical career support. Alongside skills development, we remove immediate barriers to progress by providing food parcels, clothing support and social care assistance within our community hub. We exist to turn vulnerability into capability and isolation into contribution.

Our Mission

BU Mentoring mission is to identify, develop, and unleash the potential of young people through structured mentoring, leadership development, and practical life skill education.

Our Vision

BU Mentoring exists to build a generation of self aware, skilled, and courageous young people who understand their identity, develop their potential, and use their abilities to positively transform their communities.
